Jakarta - PT Semen Indonesia Tbk has confirmed its commitment to strengthening the Occupational Safety and Health culture to prevent accidents or Occupational Diseases (PAK), thereby encouraging sustainable development in accordance with the President's Astacita.
SIG Operations Director, Reni Wulandari in Jakarta, Wednesday said that the K3 aspect is a basic need for all employees so it is important to implement it in carrying out activities.
He said, to strengthen the K3 aspect in the company environment, his party held the 2025 National K3 Month which is expected to be able to support the implementation of the K3 management system which also spurs productivity.
"The commemoration of K3 Month is a strategic momentum to evaluate the implementation of K3 in the SIG work environment. With a shared commitment, of course we can create a safe, healthy, and productive work environment," he said.
He said that the implementation of K3 aspects in SIG is supported by a strong commitment from the company's management through integrated policies and continuous supervision.
Some of the policies that have been released include guidelines for the Occupational Safety and Health Management System (SMK3), Safety Procedures, Corporate Life Saving Rules, Safety Golden Rules, and Visible Safety Leadership through Safety Observation Tours.
He said that SIG's commitment to the K3 aspect is proven by a number of achievements. In 2024, for example, his party managed to reduce the Lost Time Injury Frequency Rate by 41.4 percent and the Lost Time Injury Severity Rate by 51.1 percent.
Due to its commitment to the K3 aspect, SIG has won various awards both at the local and national levels. Some of the awards won include Mitra Bakti Husada in the Office Workers Health Protection category from the Indonesian Ministry of Health in November 2024.
Furthermore, the Best Company in the Workplace Category that Implements Office K3 from the Gresik Regency Government in December 2024, and the workplace that implements office K3 from the East Java Provincial Government in February 2025.
"The K3 aspect is not only aimed at preventing work accidents or PAK, more than that, it is also to ensure employee comfort in working so that they are more optimal and productive, which ultimately encourages increased Company performance," said Reni Wulandari.
