Jakarta - PSSI General Chairman Erick Thohir asked the Indonesian U-17 National Team to continue to give their best in the final match of the 2025 U-17 Asian Cup group stage even though they have already qualified for the knockout stage and qualified for the 2025 U-17 World Cup.
In the early hours of this morning, Indonesia will play its final match against Afghanistan at the Prince Abdullah Al Faisal Stadium, Jeddah, Friday (11/4) at 00.15 WIB.
"The struggle of the Indonesian U-17 National Team in the U-17 Asian Cup continues. Early tomorrow morning, the U-17 National Team will face Afghanistan and we will continue to give our best in every match," said Erick via his official Instagram account, Thursday.
Garuda Muda secured their place in the knockout stages and the U-17 World Cup after collecting six points from two matches in Group C.
In the first two matches, Indonesia achieved two wins, starting with 1-0 against South Korea and 4-1 against Yemen.
This situation makes Putu Panji and his friends now occupy the top position of Group C with six points. They lead three points from South Korea and Yemen who each collect three points.
