The 2025 China International Fair for Trade in Services (CIFTIS) is scheduled to open on September 10 in Beijing, with Australia invited as guest of honor.
Starting this year, the expo will be held on a fixed schedule, opening on the second Wednesday of September every year, Zhao Qizhou, an official with the Beijing Municipal Bureau of Commerce, said at a press conference on Thursday (May 15).The expo will be held at Shougang Park, a 3-square-kilometer former industrial heritage site that also hosted the 2022 Beijing Winter Olympics.The expo will cover a wide range of sectors, from finance, culture and tourism, education, sports, supply chain to healthcare.The expo will last for five days, with the first three days reserved for professional visitors and the last two days open to the public.The Global Trade in Services Summit, co-organized by the United Nations Conference on Trade and Development (UNCTAD), China's Ministry of Commerce and the Beijing Municipal Government, will be held on September 10.Since its inception in 2012, CIFTIS has brought together companies from around the world to share opportunities brought by the opening up and development of China's services trade.In last year's edition, the event attracted more than 450 Fortune 500 companies and leading companies in their respective industries, as well as exhibitors from 85 countries and international organizations.
