Indonesian President Prabowo Subianto is scheduled to open the 49th annual convention and exhibition of the Indonesian Petroleum Association (IPA) 2025 at ICE BSD City, South Tangerang, Banten.
Deputy for Protocol, Press, and Mediaof the Presidential Secretariat Yusuf Permana, in a press statement in Jakarta, Wednesday, said that the event also included the signing of a number of oil and gas work area contracts.
"At the event, several oil and gas work area contracts will also be signed," said Yusuf.
He said the signing was part of the government's efforts to increase investment in the energy sector, especially oil and natural gas.
This is in order to strengthen national energy resilience and encourage sustainable economic growth.
Yusuf said that President Prabowo's presence at the opening of this convention was a form of real government support for strengthening the national energy industry.
"Especially the upstream oil and gas sector which has a strategic role in the Indonesian economy," he said.
The Indonesian Petroleum Association (IPA) invites all stakeholders to discuss the potential of the oil and gas industry in Indonesia in the future at the IPA Convention & Exhibition (IPA Convex) 2025 which will take place on 20–22 May 2025.
IPA Convex 2025 Executive Chair Hariadi Budiman said the theme "Driving Growth with Energy Resilience in a Low Carbon Environment" is adjusted to the government's program to support economic growth through energy resilience in the energy and low carbon transition period.
