Indonesia wins gold and silver from woodball tournament in Taiwan.

The Indonesian Woodball Team won one gold medal and two silver medals in the 2025 Taiwan Open tournament, thus confirming Indonesia's position as a major woodball force in Southeast Asia.

"We did hope to bring home two golds, but this result is still something to be proud of. It shows our regional strength and will be an evaluation material for the upcoming SEA Games (in Thailand)," said the General Chairperson of the Indonesian Woodball Association (PB IWbA) Aang Sunadji, in a written statement in Jakarta on Friday.

The gold medal was won by the women's stroke team, which consisted of Dwi Tiga Putri, Siti Masithah, Celsy Silviana, and Febriyanti.

Meanwhile, two silver medals were won by the men's stroke team strengthened by Marga Nugraha, Ahris Sumariyanto, M. Indaka Pia R, and Ahmad Yopi S, as well as Siti Masithah from the women's single stroke.

Aang highlighted the weather and the change in match rules in Taiwan, from 12 fairways to 6 per session, which he called an added challenge for athletes.
