Minister of Agriculture Andi Amran Sulaiman confirmed that he is coordinating with the Ministry of Public Works (PU) in addressing the problem of irrigation of agricultural land in Kupang Regency, East Nusa Tenggara (NTT).
"Regarding water, we have contacted the Minister of Public Works and it is certain that the irrigation infrastructure will be repaired this year," said the Minister of Agriculture on the sidelines of accompanying Vice President Gibran Rakabuming Raka during a working visit to Bautama Utara Village, Taebenu District, Kupang, as confirmed in Jakarta, Wednesday.
The Minister of Agriculture said that the government under the leadership of President Prabowo Subianto and Vice President Gibran Rakabuming Raka is paying great attention to the fate of farmers.
Therefore, the Ministry of Agriculture actively reviews conditions in the field directly, ensuring that aid actually reaches farmers.
"We went directly to remote areas to check the availability of fertilizer and ensure production increases," said the Minister of Agriculture.
It is known that the Vice President of the Republic of Indonesia, Gibran Rakabuming Raka, emphasized the government's full commitment to supporting the progress of the agricultural sector and improving the welfare of farmers.
