Minister of Immigration and Corrections Agus Andrianto emphasized that there is no tolerance for any foreign citizen who carries out actions that disturb society in Indonesia.
"Especially those related to violations of moral norms that damage the next generation of the nation. Anyone who lives in this country must obey the applicable law," Agus said in his statement in Jakarta, Wednesday.
Minister Agus made the statement in response to the exposure of a case involving a United States (US) citizen who misused his residence permit by producing pornographic content in Indonesia.
Meanwhile, Acting Director General of Immigration Yuldi Yusman said that his party is fully committed to enforcing the law and maintaining the nation's dignity from all criminal acts of immigration violations.
"We will continue to increase supervision of foreign national activities in Indonesia and take firm action against anyone who does not respect the sovereignty of law and state ideology and does not make a positive contribution to the nation and state," Yuldi said at a press conference at his office.
