The Ministry of Transportation stated that the 2025 Indonesia Maritime Week (IMW) is a momentum to strengthen Indonesia's position on the world maritime stage.
Director General of Sea Transportation of the Ministry of Transportation Antoni Arif Priadi said that IMW 2025 is present as an important milestone in strengthening Indonesia's position as the world's maritime axis, as well as being a new opportunity to encourage investment in the maritime sector in Indonesia.
"Maritime Week 2025 is not just an event, but a catalyst for growth, innovation, and collaboration in the maritime sector. Through this event, Indonesia shows its leadership in maritime development and strengthens Asia's important role on the global stage," Antoni confirmed in Jakarta, Wednesday.
The Government of the Republic of Indonesia, through the Ministry of Transportation, will hold Indonesia Maritime Week (IMW) 2025, as the first and largest maritime event in Indonesia which will take place on 26–28 May 2025 in Jakarta.
The event is a collaboration between the Directorate General of Sea Transportation of the Ministry of Transportation with the Indonesian National Shipowners Association (INSA), PT. Pelabuhan Indonesia (Persero) and PT. Pertamina International Shipping as well as maritime industry players.
Carrying the theme “ Asia's Maritime Leadership: Connectivity, Sustainability, and Digitalization ”, IMW 2025 will bring together more than 10,000 participants from across Asia, including shipowners, industry players, policy makers, investors, and technology experts.
With over 100 exhibitors and 35 high-level speakers, IMW 2025 will be a strategic platform to share ideas, build partnerships and find real solutions to future maritime industry challenges.
The event is scheduled to be attended by the Secretary General of the International Maritime Organization (IMO) Mr. Arsenio Domininguez and maritime and shipping industry players in Asia.
