Ruben Amorim fears MU will lose its identity as a big club.

Manchester United (MU) coach Ruben Amorim is afraid that his team has lost its identity as a big club after suffering a 0-2 defeat to West Ham United at Old Trafford on Sunday, which was their 17th defeat in the Premier League, with nine of them occurring at home.

West Ham, who just won their first game at Old Trafford since 2007, moved up to 15th on 40 points, while the defeat dropped United to 16th in the standings with 39 points from 36 games.

"That's the biggest problem in our club at the moment because we lost the feeling that we are a big club and losing a home game is the end of the world. I think that's the biggest worry in our club," Amorim said after the defeat against The Hammers, as quoted from the club's official website on Monday.

The 40-year-old Portuguese coach, who previously managed Sporting Lisbon, added that losing one's identity was the most dangerous feeling, especially with United having not won the Premier League title since legendary manager Alex Ferguson retired in 2013.
