English defender Trent Alexander-Arnold has announced that he will leave Liverpool at the end of this season after his contract expires on June 30, 2025. He is reportedly set to join Real Madrid this summer.
This was announced directly by Liverpool via their official website and social media on Monday (5/5) afternoon WIB. Alexander-Arnold admitted that this was a tough decision.
"I think first and foremost, I want to say it's not an easy decision and there's a lot of thought and feeling that has gone into it. I've been here 20 years now, loved every minute, achieved all my dreams, achieved everything I wanted to here," he told Liverpool's official website.
“Giving everything day in and day out for 20 years, I’ve come to a point now where I feel like I need a new change, a new challenge for me as a player and as a person. And I think now is the right time for me to do that,” added the 26-year-old.
