Protesters raised slogans affirming their unwavering support for the Palestinian cause and their rejection of the Israeli invasion, emphasizing that Benghazi and the entire eastern region always stand by the Palestinian people's rights to freedom and dignity.
In contrast, participants in the vigil expressed their strong condemnation of what they described as "unacceptable behavior" by some members of the Steadfastness Caravan Coordination Committee, believing that it does not express a true spirit of solidarity, but rather insults the Eastern Province and its people.
In a brief statement, the protesters said: “We strongly condemn the fabrications, lies, and transgressions committed by some members of the Steadfastness Convoy. We affirm that these actions do not serve the Palestinian cause and do not reflect the noble goal for which the convoy was supposed to set out.”
