Deputy Chairperson of the MPR RI Lestari Moerdijat said that the New Student Admissions System (SPMB) must be able to realize a transparent, accountable and fair student admissions process for the entire community.
"In June 2025, the stages of accepting new students at the elementary, middle, and high school levels will be implemented in various regions in the country. I hope that the implementation of SPMB this year can be better than previous years," said Lestari.
He revealed that the KPK had warned that corruption vulnerabilities were still found in the education sector during the process of accepting new students. According to him, the lack of transparency in quotas and requirements in accepting new students opens up opportunities for bribery, extortion, and gratification.
