The body of Sergeant First Class Segar Mulyana, a member of the 1715/Yahukimo Kodim who was a victim of the KKB shooting in Dekai was buried at the Sere TPU, Sentani, Jayapura Regency, Papua.
Commander of the 1715 Yahukimo Kodim, Lieutenant Colonel Inf Tommy Yudistyo, told ANTARA on Tuesday that the body of Serka Segar Mulyana was buried in Sentani according to the family's request.
The body of Serka Segar was previously evacuated from Dekai, Monday (16/6) using a regular flight to Sentani Airport , shortly after being killed by KKB shooting.
"All members and ranks of Kodim 1715/Yahukimo mourn the death of Serka Segar Mulyana," said Dandim 1715/Yahukimo Lt. Col. Inf. Tommy Yudistyo, adding that the victim died shortly after returning from Dekai Regional Hospital.
The victim's body was found around the Kali Biru bridge, Seradala, Dekai District, Yahukimo Regency, Monday (16/6) at around 10.45 WIT with gunshot wounds and sharp object wounds, said Dandim 1715/Yahukimo, Lieutenant Colonel Inf Tommy Yudistyo.
Apart from killing TNI members, the KKB also attacked two carpenters, killing Udin and injuring Edi Suparman.
Udin's body was buried in Dekai, Monday (16/6).
The shooting is suspected to have been carried out by the KKB led by Elkius Kobak, and the police have conducted a crime scene investigation and found bullet casings.
