State-Owned Defense Enterprise PT Dahana is collaborating with domestic private company Hariff Defense to develop the Anti-Tank Weapon (SLT) rocket for mass production.
The cooperation was established with the signing of a memorandum of understanding (MoU) at the Indo Defence main weapons system exhibition in Kemayoran.
Based on the official press release received it was explained that the Anti-Tank Weapon (SLT) is a small and light weapon designed for military training purposes.
The SLT rocket is fired via a reusable launcher making it an efficient solution for live firing practice.
In the first stage of development, this rocket can launch up to 600 meters. With this cooperation, this SLT rocket can be developed into a Guided Missile before becoming a Smart Missile made in Indonesia.
President Director, PT Hariff Dipa Persada (Hariff Defense), Adi Nugroho explained, this collaboration symbolizes the strong synergy between the state-owned and private domestic defense industries.
