Deputy Minister of Creative Economy Irene Umar said Game Seed 2025 is targeted at exporting locally made games and providing opportunities for Indonesian game developer talent to showcase their innovations in the gaming industry.
"The target is that we can find hidden gems that we can monitor for export," said Irene at the Game Seed 2025 Roadshow Jakarta event.
He said 90 percent of games in Indonesia are dominated by foreign games. However, Indonesian game developers have the potential to open up opportunities for careers in overseas markets, so with Game Seed 2025, in addition to developing the potential of local games, it also opens up career paths for game developers abroad.
Through Game Seed 2025, game developer talents will be trained to stimulate careers or ideas and also new game prototypes. This training is to help developers answer the challenges in the real game industry to be able to have commercial value and be able to compete not only nationally but also globally.
