The statements stated that Israel would not provide consular services and urged citizens to cooperate with security forces in the countries in which they reside if they are subjected to any hostile acts.
The statements did not specify a timeframe for the continued closure of the embassies. A person answering the phone at the embassy in Berlin did not provide any further details.
"In light of the latest developments, Israeli missions around the world will be closed and consular services will not be provided," the statement said.
German Chancellor Friedrich Merz, who spoke with Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu on Friday, said that Germany has strengthened measures to protect Jewish and Israeli sites.
