Maduro calls on the people of Israel to stop aggression against Iran and Palestine

Venezuelan President Nicolas Maduro called on the Israeli people to halt military aggression against Iran and condemned Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu's actions, likening them to Nazism.

"As a Christian and a descendant of Sephardic Jews, I appeal to the people of Israel: Stop Benjamin Netanyahu's madness. Only the people of Israel can stop this war. Stop the aggression against Iran, Palestine, Lebanon, Syria, and Yemen," Maduro said during a speech in Caracas.

The Venezuelan president described the Israeli strike on Iran as a criminal attack that violates the UN Charter and international law and threatens escalation in Asia and the Middle East.

Maduro compared the current international situation to the events that led to World War II, saying that Western powers—London, Paris, and Washington—encouraged and armed Hitler at the time, just as they encourage Netanyahu today.

Maduro added, "History is repeating itself. Back then, they allowed Hitler to occupy Czechoslovakia and Poland. Today, they are silently watching the destruction of Gaza, and now the attack on Iran."

Maduro expressed his disappointment with the position of Western countries, emphasizing that only a multipolar world built on dialogue among civilizations and respect for international law can prevent the threat of a new world war.

The Israeli military launched a large-scale operation, codenamed "Rising Lion," against Iran at dawn on Friday. The air force bombed military targets and Iranian nuclear program sites, in addition to eliminating a number of Iranian military leaders.

For its part, the Iranian Revolutionary Guard announced that Tehran launched Operation "True Promise 3" in response to the Israeli strikes.
