Promoted club, Persijap Jepara, has officially retained Brazilian striker, Rosalvo Candido Rosa Junior, for the 2025/2026 Liga 1 season.
Last season, Rosalvo was one of the mainstays in Persijap's attack line. He collected a total of 10 goals and one assist in the 2024/2025 Liga 2 season.
"I am very happy and proud to be able to continue my journey with Persijap Jepara," said Rosalvo, quoted from a written statement received by reporters in Jakarta, Wednesday.
"Last season was full of challenges, but the support from the team and supporters kept me motivated. I am ready to give my best and work harder to help the team achieve higher targets," he continued.
From a management perspective, Rosalvo is seen as an important figure. He is considered a professional, dedicated figure, and has a positive influence, both on and off the field.
The contract extension is a form of appreciation for his contribution, as well as part of Persijap's serious steps to build a more competitive squad.
"We really appreciate Rosalvo's professionalism and fighting spirit. He is an example of a player who works hard for the team, and we believe he still has a lot to give in the upcoming season," said Persijap manager Egat Sacawijaya.
Rosalvo was rumored to be leaving the team nicknamed Laskar Kalinyamat in mid-May.
However, now that the new contract has been signed, Rosalvo is again expected to be the driving force behind Persijap's attack as the team looks ahead to the new season with higher targets.
