Indonesian League 1 club Persita Tangerang announced Carlos Pena as the new coach for the 2025/26 competition season.
Quoted from the club's official website, Wednesday, Persita Tangerang President Ahmad Zaki Iskandar explained the reason his team chose Pena as the new tactician for Pendekar Cisadane.
"We appointed Carlos Pena of course with various considerations and his coaching experience. One of them is because he already knows the club and the players in the Indonesian League 1 scene," said Ahmad.
"We hope that by giving trust to Carlos Pena, Persita can perform better in the upcoming season. And have the opportunity to finish in the top three or even become champions," he continued.
