Malut United player Yance Sayuri said he gained valuable lessons and experience when he played in full with the Indonesian national team when they were defeated 0-6 by Japan at Suita Stadium, Osaka.
Yance guarded Indonesia's right side from attacks by Daichi Kamada, Shunsuke Mito, and Junnosuke Suzuki in the first half, then added Keito Nakamura, Kodai Sano, and Kota Tawaratsumida in the second half.
"A very valuable lesson and experience," Yance wrote in a post on his Instagram account.
Yance, who previously sat on the bench against China, was brought on by Patrick Kluivert from the start to fill the right winger position.
The player who played his second cap with Garuda then transformed into a right wing back after Kevin Diks was injured and replaced by Yakob Sayuri in the 27th minute.
