Cybersecurity company StormWall together with IDCloudHost announced the expansion of its global filtering network through the launch of a new scrubbing center in Jakarta that provides protection against Denial-of-Service (DDoS) attacks and various other forms of complex cyber attacks.
With the addition of scrubbing centers , StormWall now operates nine global filtering points , which filter and stabilize data traffic before it reaches the user's infrastructure.
"Indonesia is one of the countries with the fastest economic growth in the world. For businesses in Indonesia and surrounding countries, stable infrastructure is the main key to supporting growth," StormWall CEO and Co-founder Ramil Khantimirov explained in his official statement in Jakarta, Friday.
StormWall's scrubbing center in Jakarta began operating in February 2025, located in Cyber Buildings Jakarta, the largest network interconnection center in Indonesia and Southeast Asia.
This location was chosen because its role is considered crucial in supporting the efficiency of data exchange and the need for digital infrastructure that continues to grow in this region.
StormWall and IDCloudHost have been collaborating for several years, including the launch of the former’s scrubbing center in Singapore in 2023. Both play a key role in strengthening cyber resilience across the APAC region, which is currently experiencing a surge in digital attacks.
According to the StormWall analyst team's report, throughout 2024 DDoS attacks in Asia experienced a drastic increase of 92 percent. Indonesia is recorded as one of the most frequently targeted countries, with one in ten attacks in the APAC region targeting companies based in the country.
