The Houthis threaten Israel with a "devastating response" if it targets Yemen.

This came in a statement by Ali al-Dailami, a member of the Houthi political bureau, to the group's Al-Masirah satellite channel, in which he said, "The threats of war criminal Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu against the Republic of Yemen are nothing but media heresies, revealing the depth of Zionist confusion and terror regarding the influential Yemeni presence in the nation's battle, especially in the context of supporting the Palestinian resistance in the Gaza Strip."

He added, "Netanyahu is fully aware that any Zionist adventure targeting Yemen will be met with a devastating response, and the price will be high, as happened with the United States, which was forced to withdraw from the Red Sea and the Arabian Sea as a result of the precise Yemeni strikes."

He continued, "Netanyahu is aware of the magnitude of the cost he will pay if he dares to attack Yemen. He also knows that Yemen is not an arena that can be penetrated, neither by intelligence nor by military means, thanks to the high level of security vigilance and the popular and political consensus in support of the confrontation option."

He pointed out that "the Zionist enemy entity has, since its founding, relied on intelligence warfare and covert operations, but the Yemeni environment stands as an impenetrable barrier against any attempts at infiltration or recruitment, despite the economic suffering that is being exploited within the framework of the soft war."

The Houthi official's remarks came in response to a statement by Israeli Defense Minister Yisrael Katz on Wednesday, in which he said, "We will treat Sana'a like we treat Tehran, and I have ordered the army to prepare a plan against the Houthis," according to Arab and Yemeni media reports.

On Tuesday, the Houthi group announced the continuation of its military operations against Israel "until the aggression on Gaza stops and the siege is lifted," despite the United States' announcement of a ceasefire between Israel and Iran.

On June 13, Israel, with US support, launched a 12-day attack on Iran, targeting military and nuclear sites, civilian facilities, and the assassination of military leaders and nuclear scientists. Iran responded by targeting Israeli military and intelligence headquarters with ballistic missiles and drones.

As Iran responded with missile strikes against Israel, inflicting heavy losses, the United States attacked nuclear facilities in Iran on June 22nd. Tehran responded by bombing the U.S. military base at Al Udeid in Qatar. Washington then declared a ceasefire between Tel Aviv and Tehran on June 24th.
