Ukrainian Defense Minister: We will receive approximately €1.3 billion from our allies for arms manufacturing.

This came in a post by Umirov on Telegram following a conversation he had with his Danish counterpart, Troels Lund Poulsen.

Omerov indicated that the first tranche of €428 million will come from Denmark, Sweden, Canada, Norway, and Iceland.

He added, "The funds will soon be allocated to the production of Ukrainian weapons: artillery, attack drones, missiles, and anti-tank weapons manufactured in Ukraine for our soldiers."

On Wednesday, following a meeting of the Ramstein Contact Group on Ukraine in Brussels, the Ukrainian Defense Minister said that the Ukrainian government relies on increased production in cooperation with its European partners to obtain supplies of weapons and ammunition.

"We will build drones, missiles, ammunition, and other weapons together. Ukrainian drones changed the course of events on the battlefield. Now we will change how the Ramstein countries prepare for future threats," he said.

The defense ministers of the Contact Group pledged to continue supporting Ukraine in its war against Russia.

Since February 24, 2022, Russia has launched a military attack on its neighbor, Ukraine, and has stipulated that it must abandon its membership in Western military entities to end the attack. Kiev considers this to be "interference" in its affairs.
