Coordinating Minister for Community Empowerment Abdul Muhaimin Iskandar stated that the People's School program will begin being piloted in Cibinong, West Java, before being launched nationally in early August 2025.
According to him, the alternative education program will begin with simulation learning at 100 locations and is targeted to be officially inaugurated by President Prabowo Subianto.
"Tomorrow, a trial learning session will be held in Cibinong. By the end of this month, 100 locations will be ready. The President will inaugurate the event in person in early August," Muhaimin said in a statement after attending the Kali Bos Padel Tournament in Jakarta on Sunday.
Muhaimin emphasized that all teaching staff have been prepared and students will be picked up based on verified data.
"Everything is ready. We're picking up the students. They're all registered, based on the data. There's one desk , so there's registration, but we're picking up those who really need it. If there are students who haven't been picked up yet, please be patient," he continued.
