Gaza's death toll rises to 57,680, with warnings that hospitals could be out of service within hours.

In a daily statistical statement, the ministry said, "Approximately 105 martyrs and 530 injured arrived at hospitals in the Gaza Strip over the past 24 hours." It explained that a number of victims remain under the rubble of destroyed buildings and on the streets, where ambulance and civil defense crews are unable to reach them.

The ministry also confirmed that hospitals in the Gaza Strip received seven martyrs and more than 57 wounded civilians who were targeted while waiting for food aid in what are known as "US-Israeli aid distribution areas," which have become bloody traps. Repeated reports documented Israeli soldiers firing directly at hungry crowds.

According to the ministry, the number of victims of this aid has risen to 773 martyrs and more than 5,101 wounded since the aid began being distributed without UN supervision last May.

The Gaza Health Ministry reported that the death toll from Palestinian casualties since Israel resumed its genocide in the Gaza Strip on March 18, 2025, has risen to "7,118 martyrs and 25,368 wounded."

In the same context, 36 Palestinians, including children and women, were killed at dawn on Wednesday in separate Israeli attacks targeting homes, displaced persons' tents, and civilian gatherings in Gaza City, Deir al-Balah, Nuseirat, Khan Yunis, and Rafah.

In detail, a Palestinian was killed and five others were injured in an Israeli attack targeting a civilian gathering in the Tal al-Hawa neighborhood, southwest of Gaza City.

Six Palestinians, waiting for US-Israeli aid, were killed and more than 50 others injured in the past few hours by Israeli fire west of Rafah, in the southern Gaza Strip.

Three Palestinians were killed in separate Israeli airstrikes targeting the al-Tuffah neighborhood east of Gaza City, a displaced persons' tent in the al-Mawasi area west of Khan Yunis in the southern Gaza Strip, and a civilian gathering north of al-Nuseirat in the central Gaza Strip. Prior to that, 26 Palestinians were killed in separate Israeli airstrikes on the Gaza Strip.

In Gaza City, the occupation army committed a new massacre, killing 10 people, including five children and women, after bombing a home belonging to the Joudeh family in the Shati refugee camp. The bombing sparked fires and caused destruction in the surrounding area, which is inhabited by residents and displaced persons.

In the central Gaza Strip, four Palestinians, including a father and his son, were killed in shelling targeting homes in Nuseirat and Al-Bureij, while Khan Yunis witnessed another massacre that left 10 dead as a result of shelling of displaced persons' tents near the Al-Attar junction.

Fuel crisis threatens to shut down hospitals

In a dangerous humanitarian development, the Ministry of Health in Gaza warned that all hospitals in Gaza City could be out of service within hours due to the depletion of fuel needed to operate generators, a result of the tightened Israeli blockade imposed since last March.

"The generators are about to stop working, and the Shifa Medical Complex will turn into a graveyard if fuel is not delivered immediately," said Dr. Mohammed Abu Salmiya, director of the Shifa Medical Complex, at a press conference.

He confirmed that the hospital had already been forced to shut down its dialysis department, depriving 350 patients with kidney failure of treatment. Meanwhile, electricity is now limited to the intensive care unit, which houses patients on ventilators and more than 100 premature babies.

He also warned of the shutdown of blood banks, the disruption of water desalination plants, and the spread of serious diseases, most notably meningitis and gynecological infections among 50,000 pregnant women, due to the lack of clean water and personal hygiene supplies.

The ministry issued an urgent appeal to open the crossings and allow the entry of fuel and medical supplies, warning of an impending health and humanitarian disaster.

Gaza's health system is suffering from a complete collapse due to Israel's deliberate targeting of the remaining functioning hospitals and health centers in the Strip, and its denial of the entry of medicines, medical supplies, and equipment.

Since October 7, 2023, Israel has been waging a war of genocide in Gaza, including killing, starvation, destruction, and forced displacement, ignoring all international calls and orders from the International Court of Justice to halt it.

In addition to the martyrs and wounded, most of whom were children and women, the US-backed genocide left more than 11,000 missing, hundreds of thousands displaced, and a famine that claimed the lives of many, including dozens of children.
