Mitsubishi Electric handed over the FA-IT Integrated factory automation panel demokit and officially appointed the Faculty of Industrial Technology, Bandung Institute of Technology (ITB) as the Authorized Training Center (ATC) for Factory Automation for the development of superior human resources in facing industry 4.0.
"This initiative is part of our efforts to support the industry-based higher education ecosystem. We believe that cross-sector collaboration like this is very important to produce human resources who are ready to face the digital and automation era," said Head of Factory and Industrial Automation Division, Mitsubishi Electric Indonesia Ivan Chandra, via a press release, Tuesday.
The FA-IT Integrated factory automation panel demokit is a demonstration device designed to demonstrate the integration between Factory Automation (FA) and Information Technology (IT) systems in an industrial environment. This tool is usually used for educational, training, or presentation purposes in the context of Industry 4.0 or smart factories (advanced manufacturing facilities).
As a global technology company, Mitsubishi Electric said that the connection between higher education and the industrial world is a key element in preparing a young generation that is adaptive to change and able to create innovation.
