Persik Kediri's management has decided to bring in Imanol Garcia, a player from the Spanish La Liga, to strengthen their midfield ahead of the 2025/2026 Liga 1 season, which will begin in August 2025.
Persik Kediri team manager, M Syahid Nur Ichsan, stated that Persik still needs players to strengthen their midfield. The arrival of Imanol Garcia is expected to further strengthen the team.
"We still need a midfielder to add more variety to our game. The coaching staff also wants that, and there's interest in Imanol's game," said M Syahid Nur Ichsan in Kediri on Sunday.
He added that Imanol's playing experience in Europe, particularly in Spanish football competitions, was certainly a consideration for Persik to recruit him this season.
The 29-year-old player previously played with a number of clubs at various levels of Spanish football competitions, starting from Segunda Federación, Primera Federación, Segunda División (La Liga 2) to the highest caste of Spanish football competitions, Primera Division.
