Tijuana, August 22.- The municipal government announced the creation of 60 new positions for the Fire Department and salary adjustments for staff, measures that had not been implemented for five years, during the ceremony commemorating National Firefighter Day.
Mayor Ismael Burgueño Ruiz reported that the team will also be strengthened with the delivery of three new firefighting machines that were added at the beginning of the year, as well as 550 lightweight structural uniforms for forest fires, 550 Nomex station uniforms, 100 self-contained breathing apparatus, and 27 lifeguard kits.
Municipal Security Secretary José Alejandro Avilés Amezcua explained that the total number of specialized equipment for the Tijuana Fire Department is more than 1,200.
