"77" is a Turkish film that depicts the decades-long suffering of Palestinians in the Gaza Strip.

The film is produced by Ayhan Arslan and Gürsel Soydemir, directed by Eyüp Kılıç, written by Muhammed Ali Yıldırım, and stars Palestinian actor Sulaym Sulaym.

In a statement to Anadolu Agency, Palestinian artist Suwailem said that the idea for the film stemmed from the question: "What can we do for Palestine other than financial support?" He explained that the film's primary goal is to convey the voices of the oppressed in Gaza to the entire world through the language of cinema.

He continued, "Our film has no dialogue, because Gaza can no longer tolerate any more words. There are children who grow up with stones instead of toys, and who wake up to the sound of bombs instead of voices of hope."

He emphasized that the film draws its strength from silence, saying, "Sometimes, the look of a frightened child or the silent cry of a mother speaks louder than thousands of words." He noted that, "This work is not just a short film, but rather an invitation to everyone who still has a shred of compassion in their heart."

He pointed out that the film is a form of artistic resistance, adding, "Art is a mirror of the nation's conscience, and we must use it to shed light on the Palestinian cause more than ever before."

Palestinian artist Suwailem posted the film on his Instagram account, writing: "A silent scream from the heart of Gaza. This film is a living testimony, not just a story. Watch it, feel it, and be their voice."

The genocide perpetrated by Israel in Gaza, with American support, has left more than 210,000 Palestinians dead or wounded, most of them children and women, and more than 9,000 missing, in addition to hundreds of thousands of displaced persons and a famine that has claimed the lives of many.
