Technology company Apple is suing a former staff member who used to work for the Apple Watch team for stealing the company's trade secrets for its competitor Oppo.
The lawsuit alleges that the former employee conspired and disclosed Apple secrets to a rival company, which is now the former employee's new employer. The Verge reported on Saturday that the lawsuit targets a former Apple employee named Dr. Chen Shi, who is known to have attended dozens of meetings with technical members of the Apple Watch team.
Through these meetings, Shi is said to have learned confidential details about the Apple Watch and downloaded 63 documents from a protected file box and then saved them on a USB.
