Tijuana, October 16.- Governor Jaime Bonilla Valdez accompanied President Andrés Manuel López Obrador on his fourth working tour of the municipality of San Quintín, where he inaugurated the first phase of the Benita Juárez University for Well-being and signed a decree regulating "chocolate" cars.
The state leader acknowledged that the president is committed to "more land and less desk space ," as evidenced by the municipalization of San Quintín.
He also stated that while his administration visited the site at least 16 times in order to attend the Peace Days , which prioritized people in vulnerable settlements.
On the other hand, he assured that construction of the San Quintín Intercultural University will begin soon and will be an opportunity for young people to access a professional career.
The governor, through a video, reported on the most important projects and actions he carried out during his administration, highlighting the most significant as authorizing San Quintín to become a municipality.
He also stated that 14 Peace Days were held in the districts of Villa Jesús María, Bahía de los Ángeles, El Rosario, Vicente Guerrero, and Camalú, among others, responding to a total of 3,525 citizen requests.
Regarding the COVID-19 pandemic, the state leader emphasized that 78,822 vaccines were administered in the municipality . Small and medium-sized businesses were also supported with 54 grants for entrepreneurs; 340,112 food parcels were donated ; and 396 computers were provided to children and young people so they could continue their studies.
Related to the environment, the Bonilla Valdez administration created the Kumiai Botanical Garden and certified the San Quintín Nature Reserve for the conservation of flora and fauna.
