Cairo and Riyadh reiterate their rejection of the displacement of Palestinians and the reoccupation of Gaza by Israel.

This came during a bilateral summit held in the city of Neom in northwestern Saudi Arabia, as part of Sisi's brief visit to the Kingdom that lasted several hours, according to statements issued by the Egyptian presidency and the Saudi Ministry of Foreign Affairs.

The two sides discussed developments in the Gaza Strip, stressing the importance of expediting the unimpeded delivery of humanitarian aid and the release of hostages and prisoners.

They also affirmed their "rejection of any attempts to displace Palestinians from their land or reimpose Israeli military occupation of the Gaza Strip," while emphasizing the need for continued coordination and consultation between Cairo and Riyadh in light of the "rapid developments in the region."

Since October 7, 2023, Israel, with US support, has been committing genocide in Gaza, leaving 62,192 Palestinians dead, 157,114 injured, most of them children and women, more than 9,000 missing, hundreds of thousands displaced, and a famine that has claimed the lives of 271 people, including 112 children.
