Chelsea and Manchester United agree transfer of Alejandro Garnacho

Chelsea and Manchester United have reportedly reached an agreement for the transfer of young Argentine winger Alejandro Garnacho.

The deal is expected to be completed before the Premier League transfer window closes on September 1 and is one of the biggest deals between rival clubs in the Premier League.

According to transfer expert Fabrizio Romano's report on Friday, the two Premier League clubs have agreed on a transfer fee of 40 million pounds (Rp884 billion), which is lower than United's initial demand of 50 million pounds (Rp1.10 trillion).

Negotiations were tough, but an agreement was reached after intensive discussions. The player himself has agreed to a contract with Chelsea until 2032.

The 21-year-old has been Chelsea's top target since January, despite an initial bid from the North London club failing to materialise.

The player, who joined Manchester United from Atletico Madrid at the age of 16, clashed with coach Ruben Amorim after only playing as a substitute in the Europa League final against Tottenham Hotspur in May 2025.
