Mexicali, July 12.- This morning, Mayor Norma Bustamante Martínez toured the facilities of the Juventud 2000 Recreation Center to oversee the renovation of the semi-Olympic pool and announce the construction of a soccer field with an investment of more than 3 million pesos.
During the tour, the mayor of Mexicali stated that the municipal government is dedicating a large part of its efforts to the well-being of children and young people, which is why projects are being carried out in public parks, recreational centers, and sports facilities.
He also called on residents, coaches, and parents to join forces with the Mexicali government to preserve public spaces. He also invited them to become vigilant neighbors and report any situation that could damage the recreation center to 911.
For his part, the director of the Juventud 2000 Recreation Center, Heleodoro Leyva León, added that renovation work was recently completed on the semi-Olympic pool, for the enjoyment of Mexicali residents who attend swimming classes.
