Ensenada, February 20. Seven soldiers engaged in aquatic exercise off Corona Beach went missing Tuesday afternoon, while four others were rescued by firefighters.
According to preliminary information, they were in the waters off Chapultepec Beach when they requested assistance, but the cause has not yet been reported.
The four rescued individuals are in good health, while the rest are being searched for by the Navy in boats.
In the summer of 1996, a group of 14 military personnel—11 soldiers and three officers—died at Laguna Salada in Mexicali while conducting training in the area.
