Facing Trump's pressure, Apple invests up to 100 billion US dollars

American technology company Apple is reportedly investing US$100 billion (around Rp1,627 trillion) as a tactic to deal with pressure from US President Donald Trump's policy regarding reciprocal tariffs.

This move also follows Apple's initial plan to invest $500 billion in the US over the next four years, which includes manufacturing programs and bringing more of Apple's supply chain to its home country.

The Verge reported Thursday that as part of its investment, Apple has agreed to expand its partnership with Corning to produce 100 percent of the protective glass for iPhones and Apple Watches in Kentucky.
