According to information on the Google website, the special Google Doodle design for the 80th anniversary of the Republic of Indonesia was created by Bandung-based artist Wastana Haikal.
The colorful Google Doodle Pacu Jalur illustration features four people in traditional attire rowing a boat and a dancing boy in traditional attire standing at the bow of the boat.
When clicking on the Google Doodle image, users are directed to the Google Search page with the keyword "Indonesian Independence Day" along with various information and videos about Indonesian Independence Day.
A wooden boat rowing race called Pacu Jalur in the Riau region came into the public spotlight in June 2025, following a viral video on social media showing a child nicknamed " Boat Kid Aura Farming " dancing on the bow of the boat to control the speed and rhythm of his team.
