Mexicali, January 17.– The Commission on the Regime of Political Parties and Financing of the State Electoral Institute of Baja California (IEEBC), granted registration as a political party to Encuentro Solidario Baja California .
The president of the commission, Electoral Counselor Jorge Alberto Aranda Miranda , explained that this is determined by having accredited the assumptions established in article 95, paragraph 5 of the General Law of Political Parties.
These indicate that the former national party must have obtained more than three percent of the valid votes cast in the immediately preceding local election, in addition to running its own candidates in more than half of the municipalities and districts.
