Tijuana, September 13.- The Party of the Democratic Revolution (PRD) will seek a larger budget for education and sports from the Chamber of Deputies , which will allow for the formation of better generations in the future, said Estefanía Rodríguez Sarabia .
The federal representative for Baja California commented that the injection of resources into these areas has an impact on positive actions , noting that it keeps children and adolescents away from vices and fosters discipline and adherence to academic training .
He indicated that data from the National Institute of Geography and Statistics ( INEGI ) indicates that in Mexico there are 30.7 million young people ( aged 15 to 29 ) and they represent 24.6 percent of the total population .
Of the young population, 34.2 percent of men and 33 percent of women require secondary and higher education , support to become the scientists of tomorrow, he said.
In this context, Rodríguez Sarabia stated that he will seek to have the Chamber of Deputies allocate greater resources for the aforementioned issues in the next 2022 Budget , given that the federation reduced the allocations in 2020 and 2021 for Baja California .
The PRD legislator maintained that public safety and economic development issues should also be considered priorities.
He commented that his party will act as a responsible opposition and express constructive criticism , and if the government makes any successes , they will acknowledge them , emphasizing that the benefit of all Mexicans comes before any political differences.
