Mexicali, September 22.- San Felipe was not prepared to be a municipality, since it became one of the most conflictive areas of the state .
This was stated by Octavio Sandoval, president of Coparmex, in response to the violent events that occurred on Tuesday, September 20, when the commander and deputy director of the San Felipe municipal police were ambushed .
"Although Representative Juan Manuel Molina doesn't want to admit it, San Felipe didn't have the capacity, infrastructure, logistics, or anything else to be a municipality," Sandoval explained.
He pointed out that the municipalization was carried out with inadequate studies , since, he said, San Felipe should have been provided with the necessary resources.
The businessman said it became evident when agents from the Mexicali Public Security Directorate responded to the local police.
There were operational errors
Sandoval López pointed out that there were operational errors , since the director was not supposed to travel with the commander and deputy director of the corporation due to protocol.
He stated that the San Felipe municipal police were not prepared to repel an attack like the one that occurred against the police chiefs.
More National Guard presence is needed
For his part, Representative Juan Manuel Molina justified the attack on the officers because "they were establishing order."
