Tijuana, December 14.- Although photographs of the meeting between former Governor Jaime Bonilla and his team with President Andrés Manuel López Obrador at the National Palace circulated today, it has emerged that his appointment as Undersecretary of the Interior will not be made official until January.
The meeting was attended by former Secretary of Government Amador Rodríguez ; former Economic Development Minister Mario Escobedo ; Ricardo Moreno , Bonilla's private secretary; and the son of federal representative Héctor Mares.
According to information reported by various media outlets, Bonilla Valdez is reportedly taking over from Rabindranath Salazar Solorzano as Undersecretary of Democratic Development, Social Participation, and Religious Affairs.
After the meeting with the President of the Republic, the former governor of Baja California was asked by a reporter: "Have you left with work?" Bonilla Valdez simply smiled, raised his thumb in greeting and continued on his way to the vehicle that was transporting him.
