Candidate for naturalization of the Indonesian national team, Miliano Jonathans, admitted that he had communicated with coach Patrick Kluivert.
Miliano is one of the Indonesian national team's potential players, along with Mauro Zijlstra. Both players are projected to represent the Garuda team in the FIFA Match Day match at Gelora Bung Tomo Stadium in Surabaya against Lebanon on September 8.
"I've been in touch with him. We've been on the phone and discussed playing style and things like that. I'm really looking forward to it and can't wait," Miliano said, as quoted on his club FC Utrecht's official website on Tuesday.
Revealing the reason why he finally decided to defend Indonesia, Miliano, who has Indonesian blood because his paternal grandfather was born in Depok, said his choice was based on his heart.
"This is a completely new adventure for me, and I can't wait to get started. I've especially discussed it with my parents. Of course, with those closest to me as well. Ultimately, my heart chose Indonesia, and that's why I made this decision," said the 21-year-old winger.
