The authority said in a statement posted on its official Facebook page that the aid was sent on the instructions of Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif and includes food parcels containing flour, ready-to-eat meals, oil, jam, and fruits. It explained that the shipment departed from Lahore and headed to Gaza for delivery.
The statement noted that this is the 19th aid package sent by Pakistan to Gaza since the outbreak of the war, bringing the total amount of humanitarian aid provided by Islamabad to the Strip to 1,915 tons.
