The Chairman of the All Indonesia Football Association (PSSI), Erick Thohir, continues to strengthen the development of national futsal, starting from youth development, cross-sector cooperation, to Indonesia's candidacy as host of the 2028 Futsal World Cup.
"PSSI is encouraging the development of futsal, not only within the national team but also through grassroots development. This Futsal Series is extraordinary, building from the grassroots," said Erick while attending the Wonder Futsal Series 2025 event at the Jawa Pos Arena in Surabaya on Friday.
He said the Indonesian Futsal Federation (FFI) was also encouraged to use the tournament as a scouting platform for players for the national team.
Erick believes that many young talents from high school and university levels deserve serious monitoring for the regeneration of Indonesian National Team players.
