Tijuana, August 28. “The fact that he's a minor impacts us more ,” acknowledged Mayor Ismael Burgueño, speaking about the attack on municipal police officers that occurred on Wednesday, August 27 in the Postal neighborhood, where a 17-year-old boy was arrested as the alleged perpetrator. The mayor explained that the officers were conducting intelligence work when the young man "dared" to shoot at them , so support from other security forces was requested. After several minutes of the minor being barricaded inside a home, he was arrested and placed at the disposal of the State Attorney General's Office (FGE). "There were no injuries, no deaths, it was a very professional operation ," the mayor emphasized.
