The Capital City program announces temporary hiatus due to the attack on Jorge Heras.

Mexicali, August 29.– Journalist Jorge Heras confirmed live that his program Ciudad Capital will go on temporary hiatus following the attack he suffered outside the production company "Casa Creala," which has decided to permanently close its operations for security reasons.

Heras explained the reasons: "We have to take a break for obvious reasons that you can see on my face, but for obvious reasons because of what an attack on the Capital City, an attack on journalism, an attack on freedom of expression has meant."

The closure of the production company, he said, represents one of the direct consequences of the attack: "It does make them realize that there are repercussions for freedom of expression, because this production company wasn't the only one producing the Capital City program here, but other programs as well."

Heras explained that the decision was made by the owners of Casa Creala: "Their request is that they are going to close. They decided that the issue of aggression and living in fear was too much."
