The conference began with a statement read in three languages at the Abu Ayyub al-Ansari Mosque. The statement was read in Arabic by Ali Muhyiddin al-Qaradaghi, President of the International Union of Muslim Scholars; in Turkish by Ali Erbaş, President of Religious Affairs in Türkiye; and in English by Ayman Zidan, Director of the International Jerusalem Foundation.
