Ankara called for the meeting following Israel's announcement of plans to occupy the Gaza Strip, to discuss recent developments regarding the Palestinian issue and end the war in the Strip.
Foreign Ministry sources explained that the meeting will affirm its rejection of Israeli policies aimed at occupying the entire Gaza Strip, thwarting the two-state solution, and displacing the Palestinian people from their lands. It will also emphasize the need to declare an immediate ceasefire to protect civilians and ensure uninterrupted access to humanitarian aid.
The sources also indicated that the meeting will highlight Israel's continued attempts to sabotage ceasefire efforts, and that the international community must prevent this and increase pressure on Israel, while reaffirming its intolerance of the policies of Judaizing Gaza.
According to sources, the meeting will emphasize that establishing a Palestinian state based on a two-state solution is the only way to achieve a just and lasting peace, and will emphasize Türkiye's continued strong support for the Gaza reconstruction plan within the framework of the Organization of Islamic Cooperation and the Arab League.

According to Foreign Ministry sources, the importance of taking urgent measures to prevent the export or transit of weapons and military equipment to Israel will be emphasized, as will the need to remain vigilant against any Israeli provocations aimed at changing the status quo at Al-Aqsa Mosque, in order to ensure the protection of Jerusalem's historical and religious status.
