The Ministry of Communication and Digital believes the free People's Schools education program, currently underway, can break the cycle of poverty in Indonesia.
"There's also the People's School. This people's school is in the process of building 100 superior schools and can break the cycle of poverty," said Fifi Aleyda Yahya, Director General of Public Communication and Media at the Ministry of Communication and Digital Affairs.
Children attending the People's School have received permission from their parents. They receive education at the boarding school according to their educational levels: elementary, middle, and high school.
"With their parents' permission and blessing, they will live in the dormitory to receive an education. And God willing, these children will eventually elevate their parents' status," said Fifi.
