Tijuana, April 2. During 2024, the Tijuana Mental Health Hospital treated 970 autistic patients, of whom 281 were women and 689 were men.
On the occasion of World Autism Awareness Day , the hospital recalled that this date was established by the United Nations General Assembly to raise awareness about this disorder.

More than being a disease, it is a different way of interpreting the words , colors, shapes and sounds of the world.
The diagnosis of this disorder requires a team of professionals that include a neuropediatrician, a child psychiatrist and a psychologist, subsequently followed up according to the case in each specialty
